Alice Jane Darty, age 83, of Connelly Springs, went home to be with the Lord at her residence on Thursday, September 28, 2017. She was born the daughter of the late Clyde Hicks and Mamie Ivester Hicks on February 8, 1934 in Cleveland County. She was a loving mother and grandmother. She will be greatly missed.
Those left behind to cherish her memory include four children, Ginger Harrison of Connelly Springs, Billy Holland, Jr. and his wife Vivian of Conover, Rebecca Turner and her husband Tony of Connelly Springs and Jeffrey Holland and his wife Wanda of Mt. Holly. Also surviving are 10 grandchildren, 25 great grandchildren and 3 great-great grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held at 5:00 pm on Sunday, October 1, 2017 in the Chapel of Kirksey Funeral Home with the Reverend Michael Costner officiating. Interment will follow at Burke Memorial Park. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the funeral home.
