Becky Deonna Robinson Lane

Becky Deonna Robinson Lane, age 48, of Morganton, went home to be with the Lord Saturday, March 6th 2010. Becky was the daughter of Richard Lowell Robinson and Christine Ethel Franklin Robinson, born in Burke County on July 22nd 1961. She was a member of Praise Assembly of God in Glen Alpine, and was employed as a Social Worker for Broughton Hospital. Becky was a loving mother, daughter, sister and friend. She will be greatly missed.

Proceeding Becky in death include, and maternal grandfather, Delbert Edison Franklin; paternal grandparents, Richard and Dorothy Robinson; and paternal step grandmother, Annie Mae Denton.

Those left behind to cherish her memory include a beloved daughter, Kelly Mae Lane of the home; her parents, Richard and Christine Robinson; maternal grandmother, Clara Mae “Granny” Franklin; two brothers, Keith Mooney and his wife, Monica, and Chris Mooney and his wife, Sarah; a sister, Debbie Mooney Ashley and her husband, Jason, and a step-father, Herman Mooney, all of Morganton. Becky is also survived by numerous, nieces, nephews, in and out of state relatives, and friends.

Funeral services will be held at 2:00 P.M. on Wednesday, March 10th 2010 in the chapel of Kirksey Funeral Home with the Rev. Kevin Crawford officiating. Interment will follow at Burke Memorial Park. The family will receive friends from 6:00 to 8:00 P.M. on Tuesday evening at the funeral home.

The family suggests memorials be made to the Kelly Mae Lane Trust Fund, 4861 Crawley Dale Street, Morganton, NC 28655.
