Billy Benny Hackett

Billy Benny Hackett, 53, of Morganton peacefully answered the call home on Sunday, April 12, 2020 at CMC Atrium Main Medical Center. Our precious Lord and Savior had mercy on him and took him and gave him sweet rest. Billy was born on May 21, 1966 to the late Benny Billy Hackett and Marion Barber Croom Hackett in Wilkes Co. North Carolina.

Mr. Hackett was educated at Olney High School in Philadelphia, PA. he was previously employed at Ingles Market for 5 yrs. and a faithful employee as a cook at Golden Corral Morganton for 5 yrs. If you knew him well, you knew his favorite team was the Philadelphia Eagles, he loved fishing, playing video games, and he loved his coffee.

Billy was a member of St. Luke Church of God, Morganton, he was also a loving husband, father, grandfather, brother, uncle, and friend.

Along with his parents Billy was preceded in death by his bother Sonny.

Those left to cherish Billy's memories is his loving wife of 18 years; Donnell Taylor Hackett, daughter; Catherine Hackett, sons; Darius Hackett, Roderick Taylor, and Anthony Taylor, siblings; Michael Croom Robert Croom (Deloris), Ricky Croom, Rita Reyes (Eddie), Shirley Croom-Walters (Bryan), Bobby Hackett, Charlotte Croom-Streeter (George), Donna Croom-Brown (Raymond),and Michelle Hackett, six grandchildren; Journee, Jalynn, Neavah, Xaelynn, Trenytn, and Lil Anthony, a special niece; Lateifa "stink stink" Dasher, and nephew; Anthony "AK" Keel, also a host of nieces, nephews and other relatives and friends.
