Elton J. Paulk, 86, of Morganton ended his earthly journey and entered his Heavenly home on Tuesday, September 01, 2020 at Trinity Ridge Nursing Home. Elton was born September 04,1933 in Baxley, Georgia to the late Andrew Paulk and Susie Paulk.
Mr. Paulk was a member of good standing at Gaston Chapel A.M.E. Church where he served in the men's choir, usher board ministry, and other church organizations.
Elton was preceded in death by his wife Bessie Belle Pearson Paulk, son; William T. Earley, four brothers, and five sisters.
Those left to cherish Elton's memory are his three daughters; Mamie Elizabeth Johnson-Lanham (Richard), Mary Ann Hood, Edith O'Neil, and two sons; Charles Burgess, and Josh Corpening. He also leaves behind a host of grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
The family would like to make a special acknowledgment and a sincere thanks to Rev. Alphonso E. McGlen and The Gaston Chapel A.M.E. Church family, Reverend's Audrey C. Gwynn, Herbert Carter, Willis M. Camp III, Bishop Aaron Shawn Hooper, Minister Wesley Hendrix, Sis. Jacqueline Kanipe, Trinity Ridge Nursing Home, and a very special thanks to Brandon Owens and the Staff of Kirksey Funeral Home of Morganton.
Due to COVID-19 and state regulations the family is requesting that all attendees please wear a facial covering and practice social distancing.
