Eva Ann Franklin

Eva Ann Franklin, age 78, of Morganton, went home to be with the Lord on Sunday, March 14th 2010. Eva was the daughter of the late James Franklin and Annie Murphy Franklin born August 31st 1931 in Burke County. She was of the Baptist faith and attended Pleasant Hill Baptist Church when her health allowed. Eva loved her Lord and enjoyed listening to Bluegrass Gospel Music. She was a loving person and will be greatly missed.

Along with her parents, Eva is preceded in death by a brother and four sisters.

Those left to cherish her memory include a sister, Lois Ledbetter of Morganton; two nieces, Jane Franklin of Morganton, and Barbara Franklin of Atlanta, GA; and three nephews, Michael Ledbetter and his wife, Melissa of Salem, Joe Franklin and his wife, Jill of Charlotte, and Richard Franklin of PA.

Graveside services will be held at 11:00 A.M. on Friday, March 19th 2010 at Pleasant Hill Baptist Church Cemetery with Dr. Larry Cline officiating. The family will receive friends from 6:00 to 8:00 P.M. on Thursday evening at Kirksey Funeral Home.
