Evelyn Chapman Shell, 81, of Morganton, passed away, Sunday, March 2, 2014. Born April 19, 1932, in Burke County, she was a daughter of the late Ernest Chapman and Grace Holder Chapman. In addition to her parents, Mrs. Shell was also preceded in death by her husband, Jessie Shell and a brother, Hugh Chapman.
She is survived by two cousins, Jean Powell & husband, Robert, and Glenda Lingafelt & husband, Thomas, all of Morganton;
Graveside Services will be held 2:00 PM, Wednesday, March 5, 2014, at Forest Hill Cemetery with the Reverend Jeff Beach officiating. Kirksey Funeral Home, Morganton, have the honor of serving the Shell family. Words of comfort may be shared with the family at www.kirkseymorganton.com.
