Janet Geneva (Causby) Norman

Along with her parents, Arthur and Helen Causby, Janet is preceded in death by a daughter, Tracie Armstrong; and two brothers Ned and Gary Causby.

Janet lived most of her life in Glen Alpine raising her family and working at Alba Waldensian until its closing. She finished her working career at Broughton Hospital dietary.

Janet was always ready for an adventure and enjoyed traveling to visit the people she loved. Her children, grandchildren and great grandchildren brought great pride and joy to her heart. Janet, also better known as Grammy to most. Always reminded each of us of a quote she loved; “If you hoot with owls you can’t soar with the eagles.” Go rest high on that mountain with the eagles Grammy. We love you.

Those left behind to cherish Janet's memory include, her children, Bruce (Grethel) Elder, Audrey (David) Burgess, and Janey McMorris (Bobby Allen). She is also survived by five grandchildren, George (Brittany) Armstrong, Savanna Elder, Autumn Elder, Josh (Hannah) Hill, Wesley (Aerial) Whisnant. five great grandchildren.

The family will gather to celebrate Janet’s life on February 3rd, 2024 at Praise Assembly located at 873 US 70 Morganton NC from 2:00 - 4:00. In lieu of flowers the family ask that you make a donation to Praise Assembly building fund.
