Ogbonna Mudada El Bey

Born September 1, 1936, in Burke County, he was a son of the late John Lee and Alice Margarie Kincaid Logan. In addition to his parents, he was also preceded in death by two brothers, John and James Logan, a niece, Bell Corpening and a nephew, Chad Fullwood.

He is survived by his wife, Zakiya T El Bey, of the home;

Five children, Larry Johnson, Mwamba S Bey, Rajjiyd Bey, Yanminah H Bey and Travis W Logan;

Three brothers, Ned, Harold and Wayne Logan;

Three sisters, Helen Kincaid, Carolyn Logan and Diane Lloyd;

Eleven grandchildren, Akilah Bey, Kwame T Bey, Keyera J Logan, Akil J Logan, Akeem M Bey, Omari J Logan, Zaid A Bey, Akila J Logan, Khaaliq A Bey, Nasir Bey and Salim S Logan;

One great grandchild, Zaire Braddock;

Also surviving are numerous nieces and nephews.

A Memorial Service will be held 2:00 PM, Wednesday, March 2, 2011, at Kirksey Funeral Home, Morganton.
