Phillip Wayne Powell

Phillip Wayne Powell, age 63, of Morganton, went to be with the Lord on Wednesday, February 2, 2022. Phillip was born the son of the late Bob Ervin Powell and Betty Faye Hallyburton Powell on October 7, 1958 in Burke County, NC.

Phillip was a loving father, brother, uncle and friend to many people. He enjoyed riding in the mountains, beach trips and spending time with his family and friends.

Along with his parents, Phillip is preceded in death by a sister, Bobbie Powell Keeter.

Those left behind to cherish Phillip's memory include a son, Phillip Kyle "PK" Bivens, six siblings, Glenda Scott (Neil), Mike Powell (Beverly), Dennis Powell (Missy), Gary Powell, Benny Powell and Patricia Powell. Also surviving are numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

A memorial service from 4:00 to 6:00 pm on Saturday February 19, 2022 at North Cross Church, 3297 Nc 18 Us 64 Morganton, NC 28655 with the Rev. Charles Crump officiating.
