Barbara Sue Clevenger, age 65, of Morristown, passed away Friday evening November 9, 2012 at Morristown Hamblen Health Care Systems. She was preceded in death by her father, Jesse Broten Fleenor; brother, J.B. Fleenor, Jr.; an infant son, Johnny Ray Hopkins; a grandson, Joshua Keith Sessums.
Mrs. Clevenger was a member of Panther Creek Baptist Church in Sneedville. She was retired from the Hamblen County School System.
Survivors include her husband, Donald Clevenger; a son, Charles R. Clevenger of Morristown; daughters, Amy Lea Paynter of Morristown; Wendy R. Honeycutt (Brad) of Morristown; and her mother, Lillie Fleenor of Sneedville. Also surviving are her grandchildren; Danny Bise, Megan Bise, Kirsten Honeycutt, Jesse Paynter, Blake Honeycutt, Lillie Paynter, Jeremiah Sessums, along with her brothers, Charles Fleenor (Rita)of Sneedville, and Keith Fleenor (Lisa) of Bean Station, her sister, Diane Kinsler (Morris) also of Bean Station, along with several nieces and nephews along with many friends including a special friend, Clarissa Manning (Terry) of Morristown.
In keeping with Mrs. Clevenger’s request, the family will hold a private memorial service at a later date.
