Barbara Faye Williams Gilbert, age 53, of Talbott, went home to be with the Lord and her mom and dad, on Saturday, October 24, 2015 at Jefferson Memorial Hospital. She was preceded in death by her parents, Lollen “4-Barrell” and Wanda Witt Williams; and grandparents, Wiley and Sadie Williams and Bradford and Pearl Witt. Survivors include her son, Chris Williams; granddaughter, Emily Williams; brothers, Charles Williams and spouse of Dandridge, and Robert Williams and spouse of Chattanooga; sisters, Margie Hackney and spouse of Morristown, Ailcy Collins and spouse of Dandridge; aunt, Mary Ann Fletcher of Morristown; great-aunt, Edith Roberts of Sneedville; great-uncles, Frank Stewart of Morristown and Vol Stewart of Sneedville; life-long childhood friend, Teresa Foster of Russellville; and several nieces and nephews. A memorial service will be held on Friday, October 30, 2015 at 7:00 p.m. at Captive Free Ministries in Talbott. The family will receive friends from 6 – 7:00 p.m. prior to the service at the church. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to Captive Free Ministries or the American Diabetes Association. Stubblefield Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
