Bruce Welch

He was a loving husband, father, grandfather and great grandfather.

A 58 year member of Calvue Missionary Baptist Church where he proudly served as a Deacon for many years. He was also a 4 year Veteran of the US Air Force.

Preceding him in death are his parents: Lawrence C. and Viola Shiflet Welch; brothers: Dan, Larry and Randall Welch; sister: Alma Collette. Brothers-in-law: Leon Poteet.

Bruce is survived by his wife of 64 years, Eunice Poteet Welch; daughter: Rebecca "Becky" Marsh; granddaughter: Brittany (Joshua) Tener and great grandson: Elijah Tener. Special family member: Kathy Wilmeth. Brother: Harold (Maxine) Welch; sister: Wilma Sumpter and sisters-in-law: Lucille (Roy) Pitman and Brenda (Gary) Mundy; Brothers in law: Arnold and Tom Poteet. Several nieces and nephews.

His family would like to say a special thank you to Gentiva Hospice for all of the good care they provided.

Family will receive friends on Sunday, Dec. 28, 2025 from 4:00 pm until 6:00 pm at Calvue Missionary Baptist Church. Funeral services will follow at 6:00 pm with Rev. Travis Bowden and Rev. Terry Winstead officiating. Family and friends will gather on Monday, Dec. 29, 2025 at 11:00 am in Hamblen Memory Gardens for a military graveside service with Rev. Gary Mundy officiating.

Active pallbearers will be family and friends and Honorary pallbearers are the Deacons of Calvue Church.
