CLARA D. HORTON, age 68 of Bean Station, went to be with the Lord on Sunday, July 16, 2017 at Jefferson County Nursing Home. She retired from TRW automotive in Rogersville and was of the Baptist Faith. She was preceded in death by her parents, Rev. Joseph F. and Polly Carpenter Dean; sister, Joann Mills and infant sister.
She is survived by her daughter, Jacqeline (Eddie) Briggs of Newport; sons, Craig (April) Horton and Greg (Tonya) Horton both of Mooresburg; sisters, Karen (Donny) Silcox and Georgie (Dallas) Walker; 5 grandchildren, Gabriel Ridgeway, Rebecca Ridgeway, Samuel Horton, Brianna Horton and Andrew Horton; several nieces, nephews and a host of friends.
The family will receive friends on Tuesday, July 18 from 5 to 7p.m. in the chapel Stubblefield Funeral Home with funeral service to follow at 7:00 p.m. with the Rev. T.H. Ferrell officiating. Family and friends will meet at 10:00 a.m. on Wednesday, July 19 at Stubblefield Funeral Home and go in precession to Big Hill Cemetery in Mooresburg for a 11:00 a.m. graveside service.
