Dianna Johnson

Dianna L. Johnson passed age 73, of Whitesburg, passed away peacefully on May 14, 2026. Born on March 9, 1953. Dianna was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, sister and friend, whose love for her family was evident in every part of her life.

On Feb. 20, 1975, she married the love of her life, Rufus W. Johnson and together they built a family filled with love, strength and lasting memories.

Dianna was preceded in death by her parents: Clarence and Mary Elizabeth Gilliam, and by her son: W. Scott Hayes.

She leaves behind to cherish her memory are her loving children: Mark L. Johnson, Gregory Lynn Hayes (Selena) and Lora Bradley (Travis Price). Her siblings: Danny Gilliam (Kathy), Marvin Gilliam (Tammy), Carol Gilliam (Carolyn) and Kathy Williams (Randy). Her beloved grandchildren: W. Chance Purkey, TJ Baxley, Gregory Johnson, Zachary Bradley, Chloe Bradley, Derric Hayes, Madison Hayes, Brandon Hayes, Jordan Hayes, Amber Heck and Arianna Hayes. She was also blessed with 10 great grandchildren whom she loved dearly.

The family would like to extend a special thank you to Shannon Purkey for the love and care shown to Dianna, and to Annette with Gentiva Hospice for her compassion and support.

Per Diann's wishes, no formal services are scheduled. Family and friends are welcome to visit the home and share memories together. In honor of Dianna, donations may be made to St. Jude's Children's Research Hospital or to the charity of one's choice.

Dianna's love, kindness and devotion to her family will be forever remembers and deeply missed.
