Glen Hyle Greene, age 82, of Russellville, died on Sunday, August 7, 2016 at Lakebridge Health Care. He entered into the U S Army in 1951, serving in the ASA and was stationed at various bases throughout the world, achieving the rank of Warrant Officer. After retiring, he was very active in the DAV. He is preceded in death by his wife of 28 years, Della Greene; parents, Sam and Mayme Greene; son, Victor Greene; and five siblings. He is survived by sons, Steve Williams of Picayune, Mississippi and Steve Greene & fiancé, Regina King of Morristown; daughter and son-in-law, Glena and Rob Snyder of Morristown; nine grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren; several nieces and nephews; and best friend, Ed (Diane) Gilbert. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Thursday, August 11, 2016 from 5 – 7:00 p.m. Funeral services will follow at 7:00 p.m. with Rev. Ross Woody officiating. Family and friends will meet in Hamblen Memory Gardens on Friday at 10:45 a.m. for an 11:00 a.m. graveside service. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations to be made to the Morristown Animal Shelter. The family would like to thank UT Home Health, the VA and Lakebridge Health Care for all their care and support. Services are under the direction of Stubblefield Funeral Home.
