Madeline C. Holt, age 80, of Bean Station, went to be with the Lord on Monday, December 6, 2010 at University of Tennessee Medical Center. She was a member of Noeton Baptist Church. She was preceded in death by her daughters, Charlotte Allene Welch, Sharon Jean Holt Surber; and two great-grandchildren, Tori Welch and Austin Gobble.
Survivors include her husband of 58 years, Robert J. Holt; children, Robert L. Holt, Grover C. (Elaine) Holt, LeeAnn (Gary) Carmon, Donnie L. Holt; grandchildren, Jody Whitt, James and Jason Welch, Susan Taylor, Melissa Bibbins, Steve Holt, Leslie Agee, Madeline D. Dalton and Lindsey Erin Carmon; ten great-grandchildren; several brothers and sisters; and a host of friends.
Funeral services will be held on Thursday, December 9, 2010 at 8:00 p.m. in the chapel of Stubblefield Funeral Home with Rev. John Clonce and Rev. Jerry Sexton officiating. Family and friends will meet at Noeton Cemetery at 12:50 p.m. for a 1:00 p.m. graveside service. The family will receive friends from 6 – 8:00 p.m. Thursday evening prior to the services at the funeral home.
