ROBERT “JAY” HOLT, age 83 of Bean Station, went to be with the Lord on Saturday, January 21, 2012 surrounded by his family. He was a member of Noeton Baptist Church. He was preceded in death by his wife, Madeline Holt; parents, Grover and Gencey Holt; daughters, Charlotte Welch and Sharon Surber and several sisters and brother. He is survived by his children, Robert L. Holt, Grover C. (Elaine) Holt, LeeAnn (Gary) Carmon and Donnie L. Holt; nine grandchildren and 10 great grandchildren; sisters, Marjorie Moyers, Clora Wright and Shirley Clark; several nieces, nephews and a host of friends. The family will receive friends on Tuesday, January 24, 2012 from 6 to 8 p.m. at Stubblefield Funeral Home. Mr. Holt will be taken to Noeton Baptist Church on Wednesday, January 25, 2012 at 10:30 a.m. and lie in state from 10:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. with funeral service to follow at 2:30 p.m. with the Rev. Kenneth Seals, Rev. Scott Howerton and Pastor Gary Carmon officiating. Interment will follow in the church cemetery. Arrangements by Stubblefield Funeral Home in Morristown, Tennessee.
