Sandra "Sandy" Darlene Messer

Sandy Messer, age 49, of Morristown, went to be with her Lord and Savior on Sunday, March 7, 2021. Sandy was preceded in death by her two dads, Paris Seals and Darrell Jones; grandparents, Roxie and Roy Smith, Rev Horace and Mildred Seals; special aunt and uncle, Viola and Jessee Holbert; and cousins, Shirley Jones and Ernie Watts.

She worked for the TN Department of Transportation for the past 18 years. Sandy attended Manley Elementary School, graduated from West High School and received her cosmetology license in 1990. She was active in 4-H and FFA while in school. She showed Jersey Dairy cows for eight years at several of the fairs in Jefferson County, Cocke County, Nashville, Memphis and Georgia. She had all the honors of being the Tennessee Jersey Queen.

Sandy was a beautiful person. She loved everybody. She loved her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ, always trying to witness and tell people about Him. She was a member of Good Hope Church in Cocke County.

Survivors include her husband, Ronnie Messer; mother and step-father, Janice and Raymond Arwood; stepchildren, Zack (Amber) Messer, Makayla Messer, Kelsey Messer; step-grandchildren who she loved very much, Mia and Max Messer; mother and father-in-law, Doris and Roger Hall; grandmother-in-law, Illa Messer; special aunts and uncles, Janice and Randy Messer, Linda and Michael Taylor, Jean and Gill Sinard, Rose and Robert White, Judy and Frank Smith; cousin, Jimmy Wyatts; special friends, Elizabeth Buis, Libby Kelly, Patty, Tommy, Gracie, TJ, Karleigh and Jaxson Taylor, Adell Davis; and very special friend, Martha Ricker whom she loved like a second mother.

The family will receive friends in the Chapel of Stubblefield Funeral Home on Thursday, March 11, 2021 from 3:00-7:00 p.m. Funeral services will follow at 7:00 p.m. with Pastor Billy Davis and Pastor Michael Taylor officiating. Family and friends will meet in Hamblen Memory Gardens on Friday, March 12, at 10:45 a.m. for an 11:00 a.m. graveside service.
