Willie Dean Collins, age 80, of Morristown, went to be with his Heavenly Father on Thursday, August 20, 2015. There to greet him was his loving wife, Mable; parents, Lon and Cecil Collins; and sister, Beulah. He was saved at a young age in a Little Cottage Prayer Meeting. He was a long time member of Slate Hill Baptist Church. He is survived by his sons, Mike (Rita) Collins, Allen (Angi) Collins; daughter, Frances (Scott) Carpenter; three grandsons, Daniel and Kevin Collins, and Ethan Carpenter; brothers, Randall (Tootsie) Collins, Gene (Mary) Collins, DH (Caroline) Collins; sisters, Alma Ruth Atkins, Madge (Leroy) Jones; many cousins, nieces, nephews, brothers and sisters-in-law, and a large host of loving friends. Funeral services will be held on Sunday, August 23, 2015 at 2:00 p.m. at Slate Hill Baptist Church, where he will lie in state for an hour prior. Rev. Jim Jarnigan and Rev. Jamie Jarnigan will officiate. Interment will follow in Kirkpatrick Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 6 – 8:00 p.m. Saturday evening at the funeral home.
