

Carleen was born to Jackson and Theresa DeLong at their home in Mineral, WA on July 21, 1939 and passed away in Puyallup, WA on January 10, 2022. She is survived by siblings Edith “Betty” Nilsen, Jack DeLong (Monita), Theresa Cournyer (Mike), children Crystal Oman, Todd Oman (Tracy) and grandchildren Jon Oman and Alyssa Oman.
Carleen worked at McLane Northwest in Lakewood, WA for 35 years before retiring in 2012. Carleen loved animals and doted on many cat, dog and bird pets throughout her life. She also loved feeding the wild raccoons and birds and went out of her way to help others whenever she could. Carleen loved working on restoration projects and was highly artistic. She had her own kiln and made many beautiful pieces of pottery. Carleen loved stained glass lamps, French art, Mickey Mouse and Foghorn Leghorn. She collected beanie babies and teddy bears. Carleen made the best Chocolate cake ever. To continue her legacy of helping animals in need, please donate to your favorite no-kill shelter in lieu of flowers.
