Cecil (Cec) William Church, 84, of Toledo Wash., left this world after a courageous battle with cancer on May 26th, 2019, in his home with his wife Connie, family, and friends at his bedside. He was a loving husband, father, and grandfather.
He was born on May 22nd, 1935 in Keystone, West Virginia. He grew up with his 2 brothers and 5 sisters, which he loves very much and whom live in Toledo and surrounding areas. Cecil met the love of his life in 1954, Connie Marie, and they married on August 27th, 1955. They have 3 children, Kitty Milligan and her husband Gilpatrick of Coulee City, Wash., Leroy Church and his wife Peggy of Mollala, OR., and Gary Church and his wife Dawn of Covington, Wash. Cecil has 11 grandchildren, 17 great grandchildren, and 1 great-great grandchild. All of whom he loved and adored with all his heart.
During Cecil’s working years, he was a logger in Kosmos, Wash., a lumber truck driver in Olympia, Wash., and lastly as a machinist in Everett, Wash. He was a hard worker and was always concerned about providing the best for his family.
Cecil loved his guitar and his music. It pleasured him to sit and play music whenever there was a family event. He played the harmonica, banjo, and loved to harmonize with his deep voice.
He loved his family and was always excited for his visits and was always concerned with their happiness and health. He never met a stranger he didn’t like and was willing to help whenever he was able. He will be deeply missed.
A graveside service will be held on June 8th at 2PM at the Morton Cemetery in Morton, Wash., a celebration of life with a potluck will follow at the Morton Senior Center. Memorial donations should be made at the American Cancer Society (1-800-227-2345).
