Harry was born, May 14, 1930, in Menomonie, Wisconsin, to Emma (Ford) and Robert Mounce.
Harry met the love of his life, Mary (Leyboldt), the two were married, in 1952, in Tacoma, Wash. They were together 61 years, before her passing in 2014.
Harry enlisted in the United State Air Force. After his time in the military, he worked at the Mineral Cedar Mill, for several years. He then went to work as a mechanic, for the Ford Garage, in Morton. Eventually, he became a Heavy Equipment Mechanic, in the timber industry, retiring in 1987. Harry was also a firefighter for the Mineral Fire Department, for 31 years, Fire Chief for many of those years.
Harry enjoyed many activities including jeep racing, going to garage sales, taking the ATV’s to the Dunes, in Florence, Ore., attending country music jams, and taking trips to Yuma, AZ.
Harry is preceded in death by his parents, and his wife, Mary.
Harry is survived by his children, Elaine (John) Long, Sherry (Gary) Bruun, Rick Mounce and Kevin (Cindy) Mounce; brother, Selmar Mounce; seven grandchildren and thirteen great-grandchildren.
A memorial service is scheduled to begin, twelve o’clock, June 23rd, at the Mineral Lake Lodge Reception Hall, with a potluck reception to follow.
