David Oakes Allardyce passed away from COVID complications on March 29, 2021.
David was born in Sulphur, Louisiana on February 21, 1971 to Betty L. and Gerald C. Allardyce. He was a life-long resident of Moss Bluff; he graduated from Sam Houston High School and received his Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering from LSU. He was licensed in Texas and Louisiana as a Professional Engineer. David was married to the love of his life, Ashlie Abercrombie Allardyce, for almost 16 years. He was a devoted father to his three children, Noah Oakes, Anna Kate, and Lillian Genevieve.
Cherishing David’s life and memory are his wife and children, his parents, his in-laws, Clark and Delaine Abercrombie, and his two siblings: Robin Yandell and her husband, Christopher; and Joel Allardyce and his wife, Mariel; as well as his brother-in-law, Daniel and his wife, Danielle. Also mourning his loss are his nieces and nephews: Abigail, Nathan, Connor, Evalyn, Beatrice, Miley, and Oliver.
David was an active member and deacon of First Baptist Moss Bluff and an engineer with W.R. Grace. He had just won a Premier Award for his work with Big Cat. He enjoyed playing the guitar and telling silly jokes. Most of all, he loved spending time with his family and serving His Lord Jesus Christ in children’s ministry.
Services will be held at First Baptist Moss Bluff. Visitation will be from 5pm to 8pm on April 1st and from 9am until service begins on April 2nd. The Celebration of Life Service will begin at 11am on April 2nd. Internment will immediately follow at Old Richey Cemetery. Fond memories and expressions of sympathy may be shared with the family at www.hixsonfuneralhomes.com for the Allardyce family.
The family would like to thank the doctors, nurses, and staff of Christus Ochsner St. Patrick's hospital, the employees of W.R. Grace, and the family and friends who have provided so much love, care, and support.
