Last time I saw Johnny was in March. He would come to our fire station for Cal-Cam for the past 10 years. I just found out about this. I am so sorry. Praying for the family. I met Johnny a few years back when I purchased my home. I would see him every few months and we always had great conversations about what was going on in his life and mine at the time. He loved to talk about his boys. I will miss our conversations. My prayers go out to his family.

  Sad to hear Johnny has passed. Johnny was my first sparing partner in boxing and first opponent as a fighter. We weighed 48 pounds. In the 1960's, Chenault Air Force Base. He was tough and a great boxer. Johnny was an even greater friend. We were still in touch via internet. Sad loss and my condolences for his family. Dr. Jed Snatic and Family

Words can not express my deepest sympathies to the family. There was never a time that I talked to Mr. Johnny that he did not talk about his children.  They were his world.  He glowed when he talked about them and their accomplishments.  He was a genuine, kind man.  He will be greatly missed.  Our prayers are with you!

I used to see Johnny once a month as he worked. Each time, we'd get into deep discussions about coaching, his family, my family, Christianity, and life in general. He was a kind man with only good intentions. My condolences to his loved ones. Lori Gardiner
