She is survived by her son, David Rasmus and wife Tina of Davenport, WA and daughter Sharon Rasmus Doucet and husband Harold of Moss Bluff, LA; five grandchildren, Paige Doucet, Blake McCoy, Dr. Clint Ross, Danielle Doucet, and Mallary Doucet; two great grandchildren, Lucy Smith and Gage McCoy; two sisters, Iris Kroske and Barbara Middleton; and many nieces and nephews all she loved deeply.
She is preceded in death by her husband, Ronald Dean Streitmatter; parents, Green Thompson, Sr. and Myrtle Gilbert Thompson; brothers, Larry Thompson and Green Tommy Thompson, Jr. and sister, Janet Cavallaro.
Lillian retired from her job with the State of Louisiana after 30 years and went back to work on and off until shortly before her death. She always kept herself busy by participating in events at the Senior Center. She was an active member of New Life Pentecostal Church of Ragley. She was a senior Olympian. She enjoyed vacations with her family as well as watching her grandkids and great grandkids participate in sporting or school events.
Lillian was a faithful woman who loved the Lord. She was a dedicated loving mother who treasured her children. She especially loved her role as Grandma to her grandchildren and great grandchildren. She had a vivacious personality, contagious smile and always made people around her laugh and feel loved. She made friends everywhere she went.
The family will welcome relatives and friends at Hixson Funeral Home of Moss Bluff on Tuesday, November 28, 2023 beginning at 10:00 a.m. with funeral services to begin at 2:00 p.m. in the funeral home. Burial will be immediately following at Old Ritchie Cemetery.
Pallbearers will be her grandchildren and great grandchildren.
