Mike was born in Leesville, LA to Ted and Sherry Paris on September 18, 1956. He attended Leesville High School where he was a gifted athlete earning All-State Honors, Most valuable player in Baseball and State Honors in Track & Field. Mike retired from KCS Railroad after 25 years and hobbies included: fishing, hunting and swapping stories. Above all things he devoted his “work” to being the Hands and Feet of Christ. Mike had a genuine love for people and never met a stranger. On a daily basis, he sought to be placed in the path of those that were needing God’s touch whether it be at the doctor, on the road, in the store… he followed God’s direction and His will. In the pulpit, his passion for Christ was more apparent than ever. Mike was consistent in preaching the Bible and did not deviate from the truth as it was presented.
Mike is preceded in death by his Father, Ted Lynn Paris.
Mike is survived by his wife Margaret “Ruthie” Paris of Moss Bluff, mother, Sherry Hardwick Paris of Moss Bluff; Sister, Dr. Nita Paris of Acworth, GA.; Son, Matthew Paris and wife Stephanie of Moss Bluff; Daughter, Mandy Paris DuBose and husband Jacob of Moss Bluff; Son, Marshall Paris of Moss Bluff and 5 Grandchildren Natalie, Brookelynn, Madilynn, Colton, Evelynn all of Moss Bluff and a multitude of extended family, friends and brothers/sisters in Christ.
