Debra Sue Underwood, age 68, of Louisville, Kentucky passed away on Wednesday, April 1, 2026. She was born December 21, 1957, to the late Glenn and Mary Underwood. She worked as an EMT and Security employee at General Electric.
Debra was a breast cancer survivor and for several decades, she worked at the Breeder Cup here in Kentucky as well as events across the U.S. taking her to places like New York, California, and Texas. She also went to Canada and Sturgis, SD, on her motorcycle. She loved riding her bike whether it was a leisurely ride or attending rallies. Through her travels, she made so many amazing friends. She had a beautiful singing voice and loved to sing karaoke. She will be remembered by those that knew her because of her infectious laugh.
Left to cherish her memory is her sister, Sandy Underwood; a niece, Katie (Sean) Billings; nephew, Christopher O’Leary; great niece, Kelsie Douthit; and great nephew, Liam Holland.
She will lovingly be remembered as a jokester, and her legacy will live on in the hearts of those who were blessed to know her.
The family has chosen cremation. A Memorial Service will be held at a later time.
