
Stanley was preceded in death by his parents, Mary Browders and Stanley Vaughn Hulse Sr.
He is survived by his devoted wife, Kathleen Golden Grasch Hulse of Shelbyville, Kentucky; his brother, Marty Hulse (Trudy) of Pedricktown, New Jersey; and his loving stepchildren, Tammy Grasch White (Dan) of Shelbyville, Kentucky, Thomas Grasch Jr. (Tara) of Clarksville, Indiana, and Timothy Grasch (Shelley) of Pendleton, Kentucky. He also leaves behind 11 grandchildren and 2 great-grandchildren, all of whom brought him great pride and joy.
Stanley honorably served his country in the United States Army during the Vietnam War and later continued his service in the United States Coast Guard. His dedication to serving others extended into his community, where he volunteered as a firefighter with the Okolona and South Dixie Fire Departments. He also served as a police officer with the Westwood and West Buechel Police Departments.
Stanley was a hardworking man throughout his life. He worked at International Harvester in Louisville, Kentucky, as a forklift operator and later retired from Martinrea in Shelbyville, Kentucky.
Stanley will be remembered for his strength, his service to others, and his deep love for his family. His presence will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved him.
Visitation will be held Thursday, April 9, 2026 from 10:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. at Schoppenhorst, Underwood & Brooks Funeral Home, 123 Winnings Colors Drive, Mt. Washington, Kentucky 40047.
Funeral Service to follow at 1:00 p.m. With burial at Highland Memory Gardens, 279 Landis Lane, Mt. Washington, Kentucky 40047.
