Bobbie D. Barker

He was born December 28, 1927 in Muncie to Horace and Gertrude (Lemon) Barker.

Bobbie graduated from Muncie Central High School where he played center for the Bear Cats from 1944 to 1945.

He retired from Borg-Warner as a manufacturing engineer after 36 years of service.

Bobbie was a member of Fountain Square United Methodist Church and he enjoyed playing euchre with the Senior Citizens Club in addition to golfing and fishing.

He is survived by his children, Timothy (Vicky) Barker, Gregory D. (Debera) Barker, and Sally (William) Weisse; grandchildren, Lori (Trent) Perry, Beth Brandon, Brent (Jami) Brown, Michelle (Craig) Stephens, Eric (Kim) Barker, Teresa (Chad) Thomas, and Andy (Barbee) Barker; great-grandchildren, Bradley Perry, Katie Perry, Rachael Rothar, Caroline, Brown, Jayce Brown, Bryce Barker, Madelynn Barker, Rylie Barker, Kiersten Thomas, Ashley Thomas, Alexander Thomas, Hayven Barker, and Kaleb Barker.

Bobbie was preceded in death by his parents; wife of 70 years, Helen Barker; brothers, Herb, Cliff, and Don Barker; sister, Charlene Nelson.

Visitation will be Saturday, October 24, 2015 at Fountain Square United Methodist Church, 4405 S. Madison Ave. Muncie, IN 47302 from 11:00 until the time of the service at 1:00 p.m. with Pastor Steve Graves officiating.

Burial will take place at Hawk Cemetery, Yorktown.

In lieu of flowers, contributions may be sent to A.R.F. 1209 W. Riggin Road, Muncie, IN 47303.

Pallbearers will be: Timothy Barker, Greg Barker, Trent Perry, Chad Thomas, Andy Barker, Brent Brown, Eric Barker, Bradley Perry, and Larry Adkins.
