A devoted follower of Christ, her faith shaped everything she did. She carried Scripture in her heart, leaned on prayer in times of need, and lived out her beliefs with quiet strength and compassion. Her trust in God was unwavering, and she found comfort in knowing that His love never failed.
Carolyn found joy in simple, meaningful things: the quiet charm of birdhouses, the steadfast beauty of lighthouses, and the comfort of a good book. She loved spending time at her computer, especially with hidden‑picture games that delighted her curious, playful spirit.
Halloween held a special place in her heart—not for the costumes or candy, but because it was her birthday. Every year, she embraced the day with a sense of fun and gratitude, turning it into a celebration uniquely her own.
She will be remembered for her kindness, her gentle humor, and the way she made others feel seen and loved. Her light remains with us, steady and unwavering.
Carolyn is survived by her children, Jeff, Peggy, Bryon and Jill; 8 grandchildren; 8 great-grandchildren; siblings, Cindy, Karen, Mary and Robert; and several nieces, nephews and cousins.
She was preceded in passing by her parents; son, Bradley; brother, David; sister, Ruth; and a special friend, Carol.
The family would like to extend a special thank you to the staff of Ball Memorial Hospital for the kindness and respect shown to their family during this time.
Cremation arrangements have been entrusted to Elm Ridge Funeral Home.
