Delores Jean Harp

Delores Jean Harp, 63, Muncie, passed away Monday evening, January 28, 2019, at I U Health Ball Memorial Hospital. She was born Thursday, July 7, 1955, in Indianapolis, Indiana, the daughter of Grover and Joyce (Earls) Sexton. Delores was a dedicated mom and grandma and loved her family. She was a good person and she loved you for who you are. Delores was an avid Elvis fan and loved drinking her coca-cola. She worked at the Beech Grove Walmart in the Deli for eight years. Prior to working for Walmart she was a full time mom and homemaker and was past president of PTO. Survivors include her son, Jason Matthew (wife Jennifer) Cheek; daughter, Shandy (husband Ryan) Dearth; grandchildren, Sabrina Cheek, Kirsten Cheek, Elijah Dearth, and Penelope Dearth; brothers, Jim (wife Brenda) Sexton, Larry Sexton, and Ronnie Sexton; sisters, Judy (husband Gary) Key and Sheila Henry; several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, Grover and Joyce Sexton; brothers, Billy Sexton, and Jerry Sexton. Graveside services will be held 1:00 p.m. Wednesday, February 13, 2019, at New Crown Cemetery, 2101 Churchman Avenue, Indianapolis, IN 46203. A Celebration of Life service will be held 2:00 p.m. Wednesday, February 13, 2019, at The Creek Church, 6430 South Franklin Road, Indianapolis, IN 46259.
