Floyd R. Young

He was born Monday, February 16, 1942, the son of Andy and Ada (Gregory) Young. Floyd married the love of his life, Martina Young on August 23, 1959 and they shared sixty-three beautiful years together. He proudly served in the United States Army and was stationed in Germany for one year. He retired from Muncie Reclamation and Supply after thirty-six years. Floyd was a huge NASCAR fan and car enthusiast. He was a wonderful big brother and proud father. Floyd loved his music and his adventures to Kentucky.

Survivors include his loving wife, Martina Young; children, Janice Hammond, Elisa (Greg) Thomas, Anthony (Margaret) Young, Kimberly (Matt) Sims; grandchildren, Kayla, Megan Mason, Dane, Sheridan, Brittany, Cameron, Matthew, and Walker; three great-grandchildren; and siblings, Louise (Joe) Cook, Veda Slaven, Billy (Sue) Young, Betty Resler, and Bobby Young.

He was preceded in passing by his parents; brother, Karl (Sonja) Young.

Family and friends may call from 12 p.m. to 2 p.m. on Wednesday, November 16, 2022, at Elm Ridge Funeral Home, 4600 West Kilgore Avenue, Muncie, Indiana 47304.

Services will be held Wednesday, November 16, 2022, at 2 p.m. at Elm Ridge Funeral Home. Burial will follow at Elm Ridge Memorial Park.
