

Frankie D. Kaicy, 73, passed away peacefully at home on April 29, 2025. He was born on September 9, 1951, in Kokomo, Indiana, to Leroy Kaicy and Thelma (Lipps) Kaicy. On September 29, 2012, Frank married Marilyn (Rinker) Brooks, and she survives.
Frank graduated from Haworth High School in Kokomo, Indiana in 1970. He went on to join the United States Marines, which he served from 1970 until 1971. He attended Ozark Bible College in Joplin, MO. He was employed by Chrysler in Kokomo before beginning his career in EMS. He was a firefighter in Kokomo and then went on to be a Paramedic for Howard County, Marion General Hospital, and then retired in 2017 from IU Health Blackford. Frank was involved with Martial Arts and earned his Brown Belt. After retirement, he began doing leather crafting and enjoyed creating things for others.
He loved his family and friends deeply. All who knew him will attest to the joy he radiated and how he shared his faith and the word of God. They will remember the many stories he shared of his life experiences.
Frankie is survived by his loving wife Marilyn; children, Abby (Nate) Ayers, Bloomington; grandson, Hyland Ayers; stepson, Shane (Scotti) Brooks; step-grandsons, Ethan Brooks and Avry Brooks; two step great-grandchildren; his brother John (Linda) Kaicy; as well as several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in passing by his parents, Leroy Kaicy and Thelma Hicks, and his brother, Brad Wolf.
A funeral service will be held at 1 pm, on Monday, May 5, 2025, at Glad Tidings Church 3001 S Burlington Dr, Muncie, IN 47302, with Pastor Jeff Ellis officiating. Burial will follow in Woodlawn Cemetery in Maxville, Indiana with military honors provided by the United States Marine Corps. Friends may visit with the family from 10 am until the time of the service, on Monday, at the church. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the Wounded Warrior Project.
