

Glenda Kay Cowan, known by Kay, entered the arms of Jesus on Saturday, May 17, 2025, surrounded by her family and loved ones. She was welcomed into Heaven by her late husband, Robert Lee Cowan Jr.; her son, David Lee Cowan; and 3 angel grandbabies. Kay left this world a hero by her selfless gift of organ donation.
Kay was born on August 12, 1959, in Fontana, California, and then later moved to Muncie, Indiana, in 1999. Kay was a devoted Home Health Aide, and served selflessly for many years, helping care for many people. While working, she made some amazing friends that become family. Kay was a proud crazy cat mama to Miss Kitty and Rusty Bucket.
Kay was a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints Second Ward, were she built a strong church family.
Kay leaves to cherish her memory her daughter, Tiffany (Sean) Mckibben; Pseudo Daughter, Caitlin (Matt) Shrack Sr.; 2 step-sons, William (Megan) Cowan and Robert (Patty) Cowan; a sister, Tina (Kevin) Turner; 13 Grandchildren, and 3 Great-Grandchildren.
We will be celebrating Kay on Thursday, May 29, 2025, at 11:00 AM at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints, 4800 West Robinwood Drive, Muncie, Indiana, 47304. In honor of Kay, please wear pink on Thursday for the service.
The family would like give Special Thanks to all the amazing ICU nurses at IU Health Ball Hospital ( Kamryn, Amy, Lazurus, Christian, Kelsie, Arionna and Taylor ) for their incredible care of Kay in her final days and just going above and beyond.
