She was born Wednesday, December 20, 1933, in Monticello, Kentucky, the daughter of Henry and Geneva (Carrol) Burris. Ina was a devoted homemaker and the keeper of lost children and animals. She was a proud member of Full Gospel Temple.
Survivors include her son, Robert (Linda) Hughes; grandchildren, Valery (John) Chappell, Christy (Tony) Clark, Joe (Renee) Hughes, Anthony Hughes, Courtney (Andy) Cook, Allen Gaskill, Rory (Laura) Hughes, Aaron (Whitney) Gaskill, and Tim (Ashley) Hughes; several great-grandchildren, great-great grandchildren, and nieces and nephews
She was preceded in death by her husband, Joseph Hughes; son, Michael Hughes.
Services will be held at 1 p.m. Friday, March 31, 2023, at Elm Ridge Funeral Home, 4600 West Kilgore Avenue, Muncie, Indiana 47304. Burial will follow at Elm Ridge Memorial Park.
