Judith M. “Judy” Dent, 86, of Muncie, passed away on August 2, 2025, at Westminster Village in Muncie, Indiana. She was born on February 17, 1939, in Kansas City, Missouri to Thomas and Martha (Brown) Lassiter. On May 30, 1959, Judy married the love of her life, Harold Dent, and he preceded her in passing on March 21, 2009.
Judy was a 37-year breast cancer survivor. She loved playing tennis and all things outdoors, especially pressing leaves. Above all, Judy loved spending time with her grandchildren, whether it be taking them to special places like the pool or Stone Mountain or baking her famous gooey cake.
Judy is survived by her children, Douglas Dent and Jeanne (Stas) Daszkiewicz; grandchildren, Stas (Jessica), Austin, Jacik, Krysia (Patrick), and Grayson; great-grandchildren, Ania and Alina; and sister Nancy.
She was preceded in passing by her parents and husband of nearly 50 years, Harold.
A visitation will be held on Tuesday, August 19, 2025, from 12 pm until 2 pm at Elm Ridge Funeral Home, 4600 West Kilgore Ave., Muncie, Indiana 47304. Burial will follow in Elm Ridge Memorial Park.
