

She was born in Anderson on Saturday, June 30, 1945, the daughter of Byron and Opal (Martin) Teaford. Konnie graduated from Anderson High School in 1963. She then married Paul Denver Manning on July 13, 1963, and he preceded her in death in June 2004.
The year Konnie was born, the world experienced the chartering of the United Nations, the sinking of the USS Indianapolis, and the bombing of Hiroshima.
Konnie worked several jobs during her lifetime. She was an office manager for White Trucking, a waitress for Denny’s Diner in Yorktown, and her last job was a Demonstrator for Meijer Supermarket.
Konnie had lots of friends in the community, and was a member of the neighborhood card club, the Red Hat Society, and the Lions Club. She and Paul had horses that they raced in Shelbyville and Anderson at the casinos. She was also an avid bowler, and traveled in bowling leagues. Konnie was an I.U. fan, and a Colts fan when Peyton Manning played for them. She loved that she shared his last name.
Konnie is survived by her sister, Kay (Bobby) Grounds; a niece, Kimberly Ham; a nephew, Danny (Deb) Davis; niece-in-law, Carol Davis; several great nieces and nephews, and great-great nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her husband of forty years, Paul; parents, Byron and Opal Teaford; and a nephew, Darrell Davis.
Family and friends may call on Monday, August 16, 2021, from 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. at Elm Ridge Memorial Park, North Chapel of the Mausoleum, 4600 West Kilgore Avenue, Muncie, Indiana 47304.
Services will be Monday, August 16, 2021, at 1:00 p.m. at the North Chapel of the Mausoleum. Due to Covid, attendees need to wear a face mask and social distance.
