Nancy was a woman of quiet strength and gentle wisdom. After graduating in 1959 from Yorktown High School, she devoted much of her working career to Yorktown Manor as a food service worker, where she spent many years before retirement. After retiring from Yorktown Manor, she found joy in a second chapter of service, working at McDonald’s, where her commitment to food service won the hearts of all who met her. She retired once more after years of service, leaving a legacy of hard work and a positive influence on all her coworkers.
A lifelong lover of history and politics, Nancy was often found with her nose in a book, always eager to learn more about the world and its past. Her passion for reading, especially in these areas, sparked countless thoughtful conversations with those around her, and she was always ready to share her knowledge and insights with anyone who would listen.
Her faith was the cornerstone of her life. As a faithful churchgoer, Nancy attended Pilgrim Holiness Church, now known as New Hope Church, all her life, where she found strength, comfort, and community. She lived her life according to the principles of love, kindness, and service to others, exemplifying what it means to walk in faith.
Nancy is survived by her cousins, MeLinda (Josh) Coleman, Robbie (Sunny) Keihn, Lori Keihn, Brock Tamsett, Brenda Keihn, Kathy Riley, and several other cousins.
She is preceded in passing by her parents, Henry and Martha Gott; and cousins, Linda Rich and Cinda Tamsett.
