Ronald Keith Oren

He married Theressa “Terry’ Darnell on May 22, 1993. After Ron graduated from Summitville High School, he answered the call to duty to serve his country in the U.S. Army during the Vietnam War. He later went on to work at RCA Marion, Indiana and Carter Express in Anderson, Indiana.

In 2011, Ron retired to spend time fishing, traveling, motorcycle riding, and joking with his incredible neighbors.

He is survived by his wife, Theressa “Terry” Oren; daughter, Rhonda Drummer; brother, Larry (Margo) Oren; and two exceptional people, Capri Dakins and Ryan Swafford.

Harley, his loving canine companion; and his parents, Harrolddean and Geneva Oren, preceded Ron in death.

A memorial service and burial will be held at Marion National Cemetery at 2:00 p.m. Monday, December 4, 2023, with Military Rites conducted by Veterans of Delaware County Honor Guard.

His cremation arrangements have been entrusted to Elm Ridge Funeral Home.
