He was born on April 13, 1933, the son of Jesse and Mary Jane Warpool. Sam proudly served his country in the United States Army during the Korean War. He was a hard worker and handyman, you could often find him working on lawnmowers in the backyard. Sam worked many years for Indiana Steel and Wire. He loved attending BSU games and any sporting events, especially when his children and grandchildren were participating. More than anything, Sam’s love for his family was evident in everything he did.
Sam is survived by his wife, Olene Warpool; children, Scott (Kate) Warpool and Samala (Justin) Bullock; and grandchildren, Samantha, Chevy, Jack, Trooper, Gus, and Cecilia.
Sam was preceded in passing by his parents and siblings.
Services will be held at 11 a.m. Thursday, September 21, 2023, at Elm Ridge Funeral Home, 4600 West Kilgore Avenue, Muncie, Indiana 47304. Burial will follow at Marion National Cemetery with military honors.
