Obituary of Susie M Williams
Susie Williams, 88, Muncie, passed away Wednesday morning, March 24, 2021, at her home, surrounded by her family. Susie was born Saturday, May 28, 1932, in Jamestown, Tennessee, the daughter of Clyde and Mary (Atkins) Waters. She married Henry E. Williams in 1949. Susie was kind hearted and had a great sense of humor. She loved her family and will be missed by everyone who knew her. Our hearts are broken but we know she is resting now. She loved caring for her family and was a wonderful cook. Susie never met a stranger and had a quiet strength about her and she made life easy for her family. She enjoyed shopping and finding those bargains at garage sales. Survivors include her daughters, Linda New, Terri Beeman, and Barbara (husband, Joe) Baker; grandchildren, Todd New, Amber Williams, Tami (Chad) Simpson, Brad (Stacy) Beeman, Kyle Baker, Cody Baker, and Katy (Josh) Baker; great-grandchildren, Tyler (Kaleigh), Lauren, Abbi (Clayton), Grant, Gabby, Carson, and Blythe; great-great-grandchildren, Vincent, and Maverick; sister, Nola Key; brother, Ovid (wife, Ella Jean) Waters; sister-in-law, Thelma Waters; and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her father, Clyde (wife, Vernie) Waters; her mother, Mary (husband, Tom) Ross; her husband, Henry E. Williams, who passed away November 15, 2000; a brother, Clay Waters; and a great-grandson, Cory M. New. Family and friends may call from 12:00 p.m. until 2:00 p.m. Tuesday, March 30, 2021, at Elm Ridge Funeral Home, 4600 West Kilgore Avenue, Muncie, Indiana 47304. Private services will be held at Elm Ridge Funeral Home. Burial will follow in Elm Ridge Memorial Park. Due to the COVID-19 Pandemic, a mask is required as well as social distancing. Memorial contributions may be sent to the Muncie Mission, 1725 South Liberty Street, Muncie, Indiana 47302 OR to Animal Rescue Fund, (A.R.F.), 1209 West Riggin Road, Muncie, Indiana 47303.
