

Mac was born September 24, 1927 at Fort Hamilton Hospital and died Sunday, May 24, 2015. He was the third of nine children born to Stanley and Florence (Field) Sloneker. Mac attended Seven Mile School graduating in 1945. He enlisted in the U. S. Navy May 8, 1945. He trained at Great Lakes and served in the Philippines. After his discharge he attended Cedarville College for one year and graduated from Miami University in 1951. He began his teaching career at West Chester, then Warren and back to Seven Mile where he taught and coached basketball. During his coaching career he compiled over 100 victories and coached his team to a district championship in 1963. He was inducted into the Ohio State High School Basketball Hall of Fame in 1965. Retiring from teaching, he was employed by Pease Industries for 25 years. He is survived by his wife of over 35 years, Marlene; three children, Nancy (Bob) Jackson, Michael (Donna Sills) and David; three step children, Tully (Teri) Milders, Todd (Christy) Milders and Traci (Jay) Stevison; grandchildren and great grandchildren; sister, Doris Benjamin; brothers, Fred and Art and his wife, Wanda and sisters-in-law, Phyllis, Betty and Carolyn, and brothers-in-law Marvin (Stell) Gesell and Herb (Karen) Gesell and sister-in-law Elaine (Don) Smith. . He was preceded in death by his parents, sister Betty Urban and brothers, Bob, Dale, Dean and Roy.
