Annie Elizabeth Lawrence, age 86, of Murfreesboro, Tennessee passed away on Thursday, May 26, 2022. She was born in Staunton, Virginia on February 11, 1936. She was married to William R. Lawrence on October 25, 1951 in Martinsville, Virginia.
Annie worked in motor assembly for 24 years for General Electric in Murfreesboro, Tennessee. She was very active in her church serving in different areas of ministries at Lascassas Community Church. She was a youth counselor of the MYF at Lascassas Community Church. She was a dedicated christian and loved singing praises to her Heavenly Father.
Annie is survived by her three children, William D. Lawrence of LaVergne, Tennessee; Carolyn C. Runk of Lawrenceburg, Tennessee; and Ruth A. Lawrence of Murfreesboro, Tennessee; six grandchildren; twelve great-grandchildren; and five great-great-grandchildren; brother, Gene Bowers of Martinsville, Virginia; and sister Janet Ratcliff of Martinsville, Virginia.
Annie was preceded in death by her beloved husband, William R. Lawrence; parents, Hugh E Bowers and Bertha M Jianniney of Virginia; siblings, Hugh B Bowers (Red) owner of Trading Post, of Smyrna Tennessee; Linwood Bowers of Virginia; Judy Davidson of Virginia; Catherine Corum of North Carolina and Raymond Bowers of Virginia; and her grandchild, Keith D Lawrence of Smyrna, Tennessee.
A gathering of family and friends for Annie will be held Monday, May 30, 2022 from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM at Roselawn Funeral Home, 5350 NW Broad Street, Murfreesboro, TN 37129. A celebration of life will take place on Tuesday, May 31, 2022 from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM at Roselawn Funeral Home with Pastor Jim Newman officiating.
