Charles Raymond Forte, age 81, of Murfreesboro, passed away on Monday, July 13, 2015 at St. Thomas Rutherford Hospital. Mr. Forte was preceded in death by his parents John Ural and Lillian Louise Dooley Forte and by a brother, John Luton Forte. He is survived by his wife of 49 years, Zelma Vickers Forte; brother, Gene Douglas Forte, Sr.; several nieces, nephews, sisters-in-law and cousins. Funeral services will be Friday afternoon at 1:00 at Westwood Baptist Church. Placement will follow in Forest Lawn Memorial Gardens in Goodlettsville. Mr. Forte was a graduate of Joelton High School and was a US Air Force veteran, having served during the Korean Conflict. He also served in the Virginia Air National Guard and retired from The Horace Mann Companies with 22 years of service as a Claims Manager. In Lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Paraguay Baptist Medical Center Foundation or Chadasha Children’s Retreat Center in Haiti.
