Daniel Luther Kimbell

Daniel (Dan) Luther Kimbell, born to the late William D. Kimbell and Blanche Abney Kimbell of LaFayette, GA on June 7, 1934, joined the Church triumphant on Feb 14, 2025 at the age of 90. He is preceded in death by his wife of 67 years, Judith A. Kimbell. He is survived by sons Mark Kimbell (Denise) and Bill Kimbell (Tina); grandchildren Katie Hickerson (Jonathan), Daniel Kimbell (Rachel), Claire Kimbell, Callie Lewter (Ty), and Greer Carter (Zach); and great grandchildren Julia, Clark, Nora, Aubrey Hickerson, and Luke and Cameron Kimbell.

Dan decided at a very young age to live in the shadow of the cross and he never wavered from his faith his whole life. He lived his life to the fullest enjoying military service, family, the church, and the simple things in life, never seeking fortune or fame but worked very hard to support his family. Dan enjoyed playing and coaching many sports. He loved fishing with friends and family, especially his grandchildren. Dan was all about supporting the church and serving others in various ways throughout his life including leading singing, serving as a deacon and elder, Meals on Wheels, and many other acts of service. He loved his Lord and his humbly led life reflected it when he interacted with anyone.

Visitation for Dan will be held at North Boulevard Church of Christ main campus on Rutherford Blvd on Monday, Feb 17, 2025 from 11:00-1:00 pm followed by a 1:00 pm Celebration of Life service, followed by a private family burial at Roselawn Funeral Home & Memorial Gardens.
