Shirley Ann Smith

Shirley Ann Smith, age 78, of Smyrna, passed away the morning of Monday, November 9, 2015 at Alive Hospice in Nashville. Ms. Smith was the daughter of the late Chester and Zeffie Dickens West. She is survived by her daughters, Dawn (James) Adams, Jacqueline Merrell and Teresa Cleaver; sisters, Martha and Peggy; brother, Larry; grandchildren, Michael Lee "Beaver" Cleaver, Angie (Larry) Rutledge, John (Nicole) Cleaver, Jr, Stephanie (Chad) Sanders, Matthew (Claudia) Henry, Jacob Merrell, Melissa (Rusty) Evans and Michael (Sabrina) Adams; 18 great grandchildren; one great great grandchild and daughter in law Margie Cleaver. Services to celebrate Ms. Smith will be at 2:30 the afternoon of Thursday, November 12, 2015 at Roselawn Funeral Home with placement to follow in Roselawn Memorial Gardens. Ms. Smith was preceded in death by her son, John A. Cleaver, Sr and grandson, Michael Henry, Jr. In lieu of customary floral tributes, memorials may be made to the American Cancer Society.
