

Doyle Madison passed away on November 24, 2010 in Nacogdoches, Texas. He was born January 14, 1925 in Imboden, Arkansas to James Ernest and Nellie Orlena Madison.
Doyle Madison was a fighter jet pilot and instructor pilot in the United States Air Force from 1945 –1967, earning six flying decorations including the Commendation Medal. He also achieved a degree in finance from the University of Nebraska in 1965. After retiring in 1967 at Laughlin Air Force Base in Del Rio, TX as a Lieutenant Colonel, Mr. Madison pursued jobs as a financial planner for USPA, a pilot at Amistad Airlines and ultimately owned his own real estate company in Del Rio, Texas.
Doyle Madison is survived by his wife of 67 years, Jessie Sanford Madison; four children: Brett Madison of Bartlesville, OK; Anne Madison of Shreveport, LA; Patti Madison-Davis of Nacogdoches, TX; Jim Madison of Arlington, TX and daughter-in-law, Cara Madison of Del Rio, TX; nine grandchildren: Ardis Crocker, Whitney Dyer, Reagan Madison, Trey Parr, Channing Parr, Keanan Parr, Cassie Davis, Austin Davis and Angelique Madison; three great-grandchildren: Caroline, Claire and Cathryn Crocker. Doyle is also survived by three brothers: Dale Madison of Frazer, Michigan; Gerald Madison of Huntsville, Alabama and Cecil Madison of Cleveland, Tennessee.
Doyle was preceded in death by his father on August 20, 1939; his mother on July 29, 1998; and his son Steven Leslie Madison on July 9, 2004.
Pallbearers will be Barton Davis, Will Crocker, Austin Davis, Trey Parr and Channing Parr. Honorary pallbearers will be Brett Ernest Madison and Jim Sanford Madison.

Visitation will be Saturday, November 27, 2010, from 2:00 – 4:00 P.M. at the funeral home.
