

Mr. Moore was born on August 29, 1949, in Nacogdoches and passed away at his home in Nacogdoches on March 12, 2021.
He was a 1967 graduate of Nacogdoches High School and served in the United States Marine Corps from 1969 to 1971. Jack worked for J. M. Clipper and for NIBCO in Nacogdoches. He was an excellent cook, specializing in gumbo, jambalaya and tamales for his family. Jack loved gardening, mathematics, baseball, Western movies and music. Jack enjoyed summers at Lake Nacogdoches with his son and grandchildren. He was great observer of human nature, finding something funny about almost anything. He always had hilarious stories to share with family and friends, especially at Christmas. His neighbors at Claridge Court Apartments loved stopping by to visit and laugh with him daily. He will be missed by many friends and relatives.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Jack Moore, Jr. and Esterlene Blacksher Moore, as well as his sister, Mary Jean Moore Stallings.
He is survived by his only son, Jack Howell Moore, Jr. and wife Lisa of Hewitt, Texas; sister, Linda Moore Guidry and husband, Bill Guidry; brother, Tommy Moore and wife, Carla; brother-in-law, David Stallings; grandchildren, Blake Tyler Moore, Ryan Thomas Moore, Grady Nathaniel Moore and Gracie Marie Moore; one great-grandchild, Olivia Rain Moore and several nephews and nieces.
