Lance Everett Knight

Lance Everett Knight of Nacogdoches passed away Thursday, April 23, 2020, in Nacogdoches at the age of 38. He was born September 17, 1981, in Nacogdoches to parents Brent Barclay Knight and Cathy Young.

A life-long resident of Nacogdoches, Lance was a jack-of-all-trades. He was a welder and machinist who had his own handy work business called Knight’s Hand. He was also a Mason. Lance mostly enjoyed spending time with his children, who were his biggest priority in life. He was a family man, and he always had a smile.

Lance was preceded in death by his step-father, Jimmy Charles Young; maternal grandfather, Lowel McCallister; and paternal grandmother, Margie Knight.

He is survived by his mother, Cathy Young; father, Brent Knight; daughters, Avery Knight and Ada Knight; son, Ashton Knight; paternal grandfather, Oliver Knight; maternal grandmother, Pat McCallister; sister, Megan Knight; sister, Brittany Knight; and numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, and dear friends.

A visitation will be held from 4:00 – 7:00 p.m. Sunday, April 26, 2020, at Cason Monk-Metcalf Sunset Chapel. Due to current health restrictions, we will only be allowed to have 10 guests at a time in the chapel.
