An angel on earth that has blessed so many lives has been welcomed into Heaven on Thursday morning, March 8, 2018. Lynne was born on November 14, 1942 in Baytown, Texas. She was the Word of the Lord personified and to know Lynne was to love her. Her capacity for loving was unsurpassed. She was selfless, sacrificial, faithful, committed, passionate, kind, forgiving and radiant inside and out. She always hoped for and saw the best in people whether they were loved ones or a stranger she'd never met before. If you were fortunate enough to have known her you were simply better for the encounter. Lynne fought a long and difficult battle but she never let it compromise her core. Steadfast in her faith, she kept her poise and humility inspiring so many others along the way. She is in the house of the Lord, in the presence of Jesus and in awe of those who passed before her. We will love you forever Lynne and take sweet solace in the inevitability of the reunion awaiting us all, following in your faithful footsteps. A one of a kind, your life en route to Heaven was beautifully lived. We celebrate that today and always.
Lynne is survived by her husband Dan Burgess, her three children, Scott Burgess and his wife Carrie Eko-Burgess, Steve Burgess, Jana Burgess Stauffer and her husband Barry Stauffer, her four beautiful grandchildren Max and Mia Burgess, Haddon and Hudson Stauffer, her brother Scott Mann and his wife Marvel Mann; Sisters-in-law, Sue Burgess Atkins and husband Gary, Lynn Burgess Clark and husband Doug; along with many nieces and nephews.
